A Russell tradition returns this year for another round of fun.
The sixth edition of CelticFest takes place June 16 at the Russell Fairgrounds in Russell, Ont.
As in past year's, the event will be featuring some of the best Celtic bands and music around, in an atmosphere that often pleases the young and not-so-young. There will be activities for the kids, concessions and a fully licensed beer garden.
There will also be a display of military vehicles and equipment during the event that kids and adults will enjoy.
Patrons are encouraged to bring their own lawnchairs. All proceeds from CelticFest go to the Russell Legion.
This year’s lineup includes Ashley MacLeod, Lobster Porsche Naughty Bits, Bang on the Ear, Riverthieves, Streets of Hastings, The Wayward Sound, Herringbone and Brandy ‘n’ Port.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the gate. The festival runs from 2 to 11 p.m.
