The facelift at Aultsville Theatre was completed Friday with the installation of a new sign outside the longtime arts venue on Water Street.

The huge $4,000 sign was completed thanks to some Ontario Trillium Funding and some sweat equity from members of the AultsvilleTheatre board.

Graham Greer, Aultsville's public relations representative, told Seaway News in an interview the new sign will help dress up the front of the theatre.

"It's all about raising the profile and letting people know what and where the theatre is," Greer said in an interview.

The signage goes along with some renovations St. Lawrence College completed to the lobby at the theatre, which shares infrastructure with the Cornwall campus.

"We are extremely thankful for that," said Greer, referring to the flooring, painting and other renovations completed in the lobby. The infamous "pit" that used to be located near the entrance to the theatre has been filled in, said Greer.

Local contractors completed the exterior signage at Aultsville.
