Three local women entrepreneurs, who are, not coincidentally, in the business of women, are giving back to women with an event in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Together the three, calling themselves Silk Stockings Productions, will be hosting a Girls’ Night Out - Survivor’s Night, a free event for women who are living with or have survived breast cancer.
Join dance instructor, Amanda Marini-Rohde, for a burlesque dancing session, photographer, Ang Waterton for a boudoir/glamour mini photoshoot and chat with Janet Duffy St-Pierre of Tickle Your Fancy, about how to bring vitality back into your life.
“It’s a feel good event for cancer patients, said Duffy St-Pierre, who explained that 50% of the proceeds from events booked, from now until November 4, will benefit breast cancer research. Those who cannot attend but would like to support the cause can still book a party by contacting organizers.
Girls’ Night Out Survivor’s Night will be held at 7pm on Friday, November 2, in the back room at Schnitzels. The event is free for survivors and friends are welcome to attend for $30.00. For further information or to preregister (required) call 613-360-7933.
