Michela DiStefano has been dancing since the age of five at Studio "C" in Cornwall where she learned and refined her skills in Jazz, lyrical, tap and ballet.

Thanks to owner and teacher Candy Pollard and her daughter Alanna, DiStefano has grown not only as a dancer but also as a person.

Over the years she has performed at many competitions and has received several awards.

At a competition held in Ottawa last April, the judges awarded DiStefano a scholarship to attend a one-week dance workshop at the "Be Discovered Summer in LA Performance" which was held in Los Angeles last July.

DiStefano, a Grade 11 student at La Citadelle, was recently informed that she was awarded a second scholarship by the choreographers to return to L.A. for another week this coming summer.

During the week last year she met dancers from around the world and worked with professional choreographers and photographers. Her dance group performed at the famous "Carnival Choreographers Ball" and she  also attended the Fox Teen Choice Awards.
