Don't miss the Seaway Valley Theatre Company's production of Disney’s, The Little Mermaid Junior on Dec. 7 and 8.

There's a touch of Christmas in Avonmore. A glittery fundraiser offers shopping, musical entertainment, DQ treats, a silent auction and 40 free gift bags in support of the United Way. Children's theatre productions taking place under the sea and on a yellow brick road are sure to dazzle audiences young and old. And a multicultural bazaar with plenty of flavour is celebrating the area's diversity with fashion and food.

'A Touch of Christmas' Country House Tour will feature five homes decorated with holiday cheer and several shopping stops on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Five homes decorated by home owners, and five shopping stops including Craft Show  Tickets are $20 and available at Scotiabank in Avonmore, Chesterville, Maxville and Cornwall. 'A Glittery Festive Affair' hosted by Above and Beyond Wellness and Beauty Spa is taking place on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm a the RCAFA Wing located at 240 Water Street. Senators Tickets, a KMS California Hair Care Gift Basket and a golden ring from Pommier Jewellers will auctioned off in support of the United Way. Free admission. 

Dream Maker Productions will present 'The Wizard of Oz' with all of its cherished characters on Dec. 7. and 8 (at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.) at St. Lawrence Secondary School (1450 Second Street East).

The costumes are ready, the lights are setup, music is perfect, sets are in place, the stage manager is running about and the cast and crew are anxiously awaiting to entertain the fins off of you. Don't miss this wonderful adaptation of Disney's magical kingdom below the sea. The Little Mermaid Jr. runs December 7 and 8, at St Joe’s auditorium (1500 Cumberland St.) at 1:30 pm. Tickets are $10 (plus applicable fees), available online at admission.com or the Cornwall Civic Complex box office.

Parade of Nations for the Developmentally Challenged, in partnership with TR Leger Immigrant Services, will be holding a Multicultural Bazaar and Fashion Extravaganza. The entertainment will include a professional multicultural fashion show and ethnic dancing, introduction of three countries, and Bazaar-style shopping (art, crafts, and products of all kinds). December 7th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Cornwall Civic Complex. Admission $3.00 - Children under 12 get in free.
