CORNWALL, Ontario - Your Arts Council (YAC) Cornwall & the Counties has partnered up with Aultsville Theatre to bring an exciting and important visual art exhibit titled Life Lines from South Glengarry artist, Jacqueline Milner.

The exhibit, which asks us to consider the impact we have on the environment, will feature photography, paintings, mix medium sculptures and is slated to show from April 15 to May 15 inside Aultsville Theatre’s lobby, located at 2 St. Lawrence Drive, Cornwall, ON and will coincide with Earth Day, April 22.

“My undertaking through this body of work is to initiate conversation, reflection and thought with the viewers about the actions we are now taking that challenge our living earth,” said local artist Jacqueline Milner.

The art exhibit is also an opportunity to show the importance of art in public spaces and both YAC and Aultsville Theatre are excited to bring this exhibit to the lobby of Aultsville Theatre.

“I think we need to be more accountable to the environment. This exhibit asks us to consider and reflect on the damage we are doing to this wonderful planet. This is also a really great opportunity for two local arts organizations to team up and showcase works of art to SDG and Cornwall,” said Bruce Davis, Executive Director of YAC.

Aultsvillle Theatre is very excited at the notion of visual art work hanging on the walls of its St. Lawrence College lobby.

“This is a great opportunity to really show Cornwall and SDG the amazing talent we have both on and off stage. In the same space we now have world class theatre, music and visual art,” said Janet Martel, General Manager of Aultsville Theatre.

There will be an informal reception, Wednesday April 16 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. where the artist, YAC, and Aultsville Theatre will be available for questions and answers.
