Ray Brunet and Gary Jans are pleased to announce the opening of a new business: Ray-Jans Windows and Doors. The new venture will supply windows, doors and related products to the public as well as to contractors.

"We felt the time was right to re-invest in Cornwall," said Gary Jans. "The local economy is stronger than we have ever seen it, and we feel there is opportunity for additional growth."

"It is great to see a locally owned small business succeed and expand," said Mayor Bob Kilger. "I wish Mr. Jans and Mr. Brunet a bright future in their new venture."

The new business is a natural fit to Mr. Jans and Mr. Brunet's long standing construction company, Ray-Jans Construction. Ray-Jans has an excellent record of building quality homes and commercial buildings in Cornwall, Ottawa and Eastern Ontario.

"We can now source windows and doors directly from manufacturers and pass along the savings to our customers," says Ray Brunet. "The streamlined process also improves our efficiency as we can ensure access to product at critical times during a construction project."

Ray-Jans Windows and Doors is located in a 5,000 sq. ft. building at 840 Campbell Street in the Cornwall Business Park. The building includes a showroom and workshop. Some of the services and products that are available include the sale and installation of PVC and Aluminium framed windows and doors. Awnings, aluminium railings, siding, fibreglass decks and flat stock aluminium are also available. Custom fabricating (bending) of aluminium will be offered.

Ray-Jans purchased the assets of O.Charlebois Aluminium Products Inc., including its former building on Campbell Street.  O. Charlebois Aluminium was a well established firm in Cornwall, founded by Olivier Charlebois in 1955. In 1984 the business was sold to Pierre (Pete) Latour, who ran it until his recent passing.

"We are especially pleased to announce that Joy Watts and Mark Ledoux will once again be offering their numerous years of experience and expertise to customers both new and old," said Gary Jans. "They will be complimented with the current staff at Ray-Jans Construction, allowing both companies to tackle projects of any size."
