A new internet company is offering services in Cornwall.
Start Communications announced this week the launch of new cable internet access for the city and surrounding area.
While cable internet services have been provided in Ontario by the two large, incumbent cable television service providers, recent industry changes have opened the market to independent companies.
Start Communications had been servicing the Cornwall community since 1997 with DSL only, a telephone line-based high-speed internet service.
“We are pleased to offer our new cable internet service to Cornwall,” said Start CEO Peter Rocca. “As cable internet access grows in popularity we believe it is important that consumers have choice and reasonable alternatives for important services like internet access.”
