The Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce is bringing its once-popular fall home show back to life.
Chamber officials say demand from patrons to the show, and local merchants, had them re-think a decision to shelve the show a few years ago.
"We spoke to a number of exhibitors during our recent spring show and there was a strong push to bring back the fall event," said chamber executive manager Lezlie Strasser. "Their comments, along with the results of an exhibitor survey tells us that bringing back the fall show will be a popular decision."
Strasser noted that a number of spring show exhibitors have offered to sit on an organizing committee. "When we see that kind of commitment from our exhibitors, it reinforces the fact that the decision is a good one."
A special feature at this year's event will be the Harvest Shindig. Throughout the show, visitors will be entertained with music, games, a mechanical bull, a karaoke contest and other family fun. There will also be a variety of delicious foods from producers all across the region.
The Chamber's Fall Home & Harvest Show is scheduled for Sept. 29 and 30 at the Cornwall Civic Complex. The chamber anticipates more than 80 local businesses will be on hand to showcase a wide variety of products and services focused on home improvement, health and harvest.
The chamber's Facebook page will include show updates.
