A car dealership with deep roots in Cornwall has a new look.

Miller Hughes held a grand re-opening ceremony Thursday at its Pitt street locale that was attended by plenty of dignitaries from both the business world and politics.

The $1.2-million renovation was completement with some $300,000 from Cornwall's Heart of the City program.

"When we were considering whether we would move to a new location or renovate the existing dealership, we listened to what our customers had to say," said Shawn Maloney, dealer principle at Miller Hughes. "The response was overwhelmingly in favour for keeping the dealership where it is."

Construction on the renovations began in June 2011 and the addition of a service drive-thru, a new lounge as well as showroom.
