CFIA allergy alert

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Groupe St-Hubert, Division Detail are warning people with allergies to milk not to consume St-Hubert brand Bar-B-Q Sauce can described below. The affected product may contain milk which is not declared on the label.

The affected product, St-Hubert brand Bar-B-Q Sauce, is sold in a 398 mL metal can bearing UPC 0 66701 00100 5 and lot code beginning with EXP OC 2011 0 2718BA. This product has been distributed in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.

There has been one reported allergic reaction associated with the consumption of this product.

Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk proteins.

Groupe St-Hubert, Division Detail, Anjou, QC is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
