The Seaway Valley Minor Bantam AA Rapids are closing off their 2008/09 season by hosting a visiting team from Kungalv, Sweden. It is the fourth year that a Seaway team has hosted the Swedish team. Their visit starts Friday, April 3 with their arrival in Canada. The families of the Minor Bantam AA Rapids have opened their homes to the visiting team and are billeting two players each. The Swedish team and their families will be shown around our area, and the highlight of the weekend being, of course, hockey. Seaway will be hosting a small tournament “The Seaway/Sweden Friendship Series 2009” in Long Sault on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5.
