This course approaches the problem of evil from a philosophical point of view; we will look at the metaphysics of evil (e.g. is EVIL "REAL"), and at both the epistemological and moral aspects of evil. In other words is there justice in the world of men and is it congruent with a higher level of justice (e.g. divine); or is the evil of suffering a result of our inability to understand the "Big Picture"? This should encourage a great deal of discussion as the problem of EVIL is alive and thriving in today's world . N.B. It is not necessary to have taken part I to enjoy this course. No prerequisites are required.
