Details : CORNWALL & DISTRICT HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 7pm at the Navy Club, 30 Sixth St. East (downstairs). The presentation this month is entitled “Trends in the Garden” by Diane Lunan of Marlin’s Orchards and Garden Centre. She will speak about things happening in the gardening business in the last few years, about what people want and don’t want and changes that are occurring. Details : GET W.I.T.H. IT! (walking in the halls) Heart Wise Walking Program. Seaway Valley CHC is leading a partnership with the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the Heart and Stroke Foundation to offer a free Heart Wise Walking program.
