Guelph Lake Conservation Area in Ontario where a group of local Girl Guides, Pathfinders and Guiders celebrated the 100th anniversary of Girl Guides in Canada. This was an amazing opportunity for more than 2500 girls and women from across Canada and 30 countries around the world to come together, explore, learn and make new friends. Camp activities included rock climbing, zip-lining, high ropes, snorkelling, African drumming, and participating in a live chat with the International Space Station! A guest appearance by Theo Tams of Canadian Idol and the opportunity to meet him and get his autograph was a highlight for the campers. Local girls attended out trips to Casa Loma, Niagara Falls, Biggerman’s Park, and the Great Toronto Scavenger Hunt! Trading patches and swaps was an activity enjoyed by all, and numerous City of Cornwall and Canada flag pins were distributed to other international campers.
