The residents of a senior’s apartment complex on Augustus Street got more for Christmas that the even asked for when a few secret Santas pooled their resources. After receiving a request from the tenants, the Cornwall police association had agreed to replace the old fashion television that was collecting dust in the building’s common room. When Poirier furniture heard about the deed, they offered to donate an even bigger television to the cause. The police association followed suit and purchased a DVD player, entertainment stand and sound system. The presentation was made at a reception on Thursday, Dec. 20.
