Seniors group doles out $14,500 for local agencies

The St-Lawrence Seniors Club disbursed $14,500 in charitable funds, raised from their 2012 BINGOs, to community groups,  at the Army, Navy, Air Force Club (ANAF).

Recipients included The Heart and Stroke Foundation ($1500); Children’s Treatment Centre ($1500); Canadian Cancer Society ($1500); Alzheimer Society ($1500) Multiple Sclerosis (1500); Cornwall Community Hospital (2000); St Vincent de Paul (1000) Agapè (1000); Hospice (2000) Canadian.

The BINGOs are open to the public and held on Mondays and Thursdays at 12:15. “I’m very proud of this,” said Ray Laperle, president of the St-Lawrence Seniors Club. “I couldn’t ask for better volunteers.”
