CORNWALL, Ontario – The countdown for a popular Agape fundraiser is winding down.
Agape Centre executive director Alyssa Blais is inviting everyone to the 'Wine, Dine and All that Jazz Festival' this Saturday.
It's year five for the Agape Centre 'Wine, Dine and All that Jazz Festival.' An evening where giving a little extra, gets those in need a lot in return.
Agape Centre executive director Alyssa Blais is one of many Cornwall residents who are brimming with anticipation for the event.
"It's a really nice night full of jazz, great food and it all goes back into the community," said Blais.
The event takes place on Oct. 5 at the Best Western Parkway Inn, and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $85.
Blais invites everyone to come relax, socialize, pig out, drink up and boogie down as thousands are raised for Cornwall families in need.
Local foodies will enjoy a blend of fine foods including offerings from J&T Japanese and Thai Restaurant and desserts from Cornwall's Dairy Queen – to name a few.
The musical guest, 'Angele and The Swingin' Devils,' is rumoured to be jazz at its finest.
"For $85, you can eat and drink as much as you want," joked Blais.
Martini, wine, and beer tasting will be on tap.
100 or more are expected to attend. The event raises $20,000 for the local food bank.
"It's one of our signature fundraisers," said Blais.
She encourages everyone to purchase their tickets at Scotiabank, since they're matching ticket sales.
Tickets can also be purchased online through the Agape Centre.
