CORNWALL, Ontario - Strategy is the name of the game at the new spring fundraiser hosted by the Rotary Club of Cornwall Sunrise.

The Amazing Rotary Rally kicks off on Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Agora Centre (Nativity Hall), which is located at 301 McConnell Avenue.

"The objective of this fundraiser is to put fun back into fundraising while collecting funds for Cornwall and area community projects," said Katie Burke, a 20-year Sunrise Rotary Club member.

Here's how it works:

Teams of four will be required to find items, answer trivia questions, take team photos, and respond to challenges during a six-hour timeframe. All participants must be at least 18 years of age.

Each team will need a car, a camera, and a can-do attitude.

"The name of the game is not so much speed but strategy as each task has a different point value allocated to them," said Burke.

The entry fee for each four-member team is $100 ($25 per person).

Each team has to decide if they want to go for a high volume of tasks or try and go for the higher valued tasks for bigger points. The winner is the team with the most points at the end of the day.

The reward for the winning team of this adventure is the highly sought Bragging Rights Trophy. Mementos of the day may also be acquired through the penny auction which will also be taking place.
