City of Cornwall holiday hours

The City of Cornwall administration offices will be closing for a holiday break. Essential municipal services will be maintained throughout the holidays, and recreational facilities will see limited closures. City administration offices will be closed from:

Wednesday, December 24th at noon until

Monday, January 5th at 8:30 a.m.

The following are closure schedules for various City facilities in exception to the above schedule:

Parks and Recreation

Cornwall Aquatic Centre :

Open Wednesday December 24 until Noon

Closed on Thursday December 25th

Open Friday December 26 from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Open Wednesday December 31st from 6:00 a.m. until noon

Closed Thursday January 1st

Si Miller Arena and Bob Turner Memorial Centre

Open Wednesday December 24 until Noon

Closed Thursday December 25

Closed Friday December 26

Open December 31 until 12:00 p.m.

Closed Thursday January 1

Civic Complex :

Open Wednesday December 24 until noon

Closed Thursday December 25

Open Friday December 26 all day

Open Wednesday December 31 until noon

Police

The Records and Administration offices are closed on Thursday, December 25th, Friday, December 26th, Thursday, January 1st and Friday January 2nd.

Municipal Works

Municipal works may be contacted throughout the holidays if an emergency arises by calling 613-932-5354.

Cornwall Transit

The Cornwall Transit office will be closed December 24th at 12:00 p.m., December 25th, 26th and December 31st at 12:00 p.m. as well as January 1st.

The last Cornwall Transit buses running on December 24th as well as December 31st will be leaving Pitt Street at 6:15 p.m.. There will be no bus service on December 25th, 26th and January 1st. The regular bus schedule will be in effect for December 24th and 31st as well as January 2nd. The above schedule applies to Handi-Transit as well.

Landfill Site

The city’s landfill site will be closed on December 25th and January 1st. Please note that the landfill site is open on Friday December 26th, Saturday December 27th, Monday December 29th, Tuesday December 30th, Wednesday December 31st, Friday January 2nd and Saturday January 3rd.

Garbage Collection

Garbage collection for those residents who are collected on Thursday, December 25th and Friday, December 26th will be delayed one day. The same one day delay will take place the following week for residents who are collected Thursday, January 1st and Friday, January 2nd. Christmas trees will be collected during the week of Monday, January 5th, 2009 through Friday, January 9th, 2009.
