A wedding! That special occasion that everyone hopes will go off without a hitch. The last thing the nervous wedding party needs is for something unexpected to happen. But that’s the kind of fly in the ointment popular playwright Norm Foster creates in Maggie’s Getting Married, the next comedy hit running at Morrisburg’s Upper Canada Playhouse Sept. 10 to Oct. 4. It all comes together (or falls apart) in the Duncan family kitchen during the rehearsal party the night before the big day. As family history and old disagreements come to the surface, the tension level increases as everyone gets on each other’s nerves—especially when all try to cope with a surprise that nobody had expected. Starring Liz Gilroy, Richard Bauer, Patti Kazmer, Don Ciaschini, Susan Greenfield and Garfield Andrews, with Artistic Director Donnie Bowes directs.
