Champs Eastside Boxing club saw action recently at the New York State Fair in Syracuse, NY. They were scheduled to have two boxers on the card. Young Rorohronhakies, whom Eastside Boxing call LoLo, a bright 12-year-old with lots of potential, and Chad Campau both out of the Massena, NY area. There are really no competitive boxing clubs in the Massena area, so they train and fight for Champs Eastside, and Champs welcome them. Chad’s fight fell through, a shame really as Chad has been working very hard in the gym and is showing great improvement. This would be the second time for Chad that his fight would be cancelled. LoLo would face a much older and taller opponent at the age of 15 from the Elmira Boxing Club in upstate NY, Joey Fukes. The first round would get underway with the opponent coming out swinging leather, which is exactly what Jorge Luis anticipated. LoLo would weather the storm and counter with good overhand rights that would find their mark with ease. By the second round LoLo would pick up the pace and start putting his combinations together and slow his opponent down. He was starting to tire. The third round would have LoLo dominating and sending his opponent’s head back from those right hands that so easily found their mark. Midway through the third round the fight would be stopped. LoLo proved to be too much for his older opponent. Young Rorohronhakies would go on to record his first TKO, and his record stands at 2–0–1 KO. Job well done!
