The Cornwall Seventh Day Adventist Church, located at 2934 Pitt Street, held their first ever PC Cafe (personal care cafe) on Sunday, Oct. 3. Free to everyone in the community, the event included, blood pressure screening, foot massage, fellowship and snacks, among others. This was an opportunity to do something for the community, to get people out of the house and give them somewhere to go, explained Danielle Drabik, community service leader. “We know people are lonely out there.” Drabik, along with the help of her volunteers, says that they would like to host more events like this in the future, and would also like to acknowledge Metro, Zellers and Wal-Mart for their donations of food items for the event.
