Olympic torch relay flag raising

In recognition of their upcoming participation in the Olympic Torch Relay, a flag-raising ceremony was held at the Angus Mitchell Memorial Building in Kanatakon, on Thursday, Aug. 13. The Community of Akwesasne was chosen as one of the stops along the national route when the Olympic flame makes its way to Vancouver. The flag will be flown at schools throughout the community of Akwesasne this fall.
