Happy birthday Shirley Cholette - you're a millionaire.

The Cornwall woman won $1 million on her birthday thanks to a lucky ticket she had for Friday's Motto Max draw - which ad a record $100 million available to win.

The winning ticket was actually a free ticket she bought at a convenience store on 13th Street. She then cashed her free ticket in at the Canadian Tire gas bar on Ninth Street.

The winning $50-million jackpot was won in Quebec. Since the lottery game started in 2009, it has awarded $1.3 billion in Ontario.
