Sometimes you just have to get it right. But for an alleged Cornwall thief who got busted twice in one day for the same crime, he was wrong all day.
Cornwall police nabbed a city man at a Brookdale Avenue business after he allegedly shoplifted some items Friday morning.
He was charged, but released by police a short time later. Not to be deterred, the man went back to his illegal work and was caught stealing again - this time in the afternoon from a Ninth Street business.
In the second case, store security caught the suspect and turned him over to police. The 28-year-old is facing charges of theft, breach of probation and failing to comply with an undertaking.
This time cops took no chances and held him in custody for a bail hearing.
