Alberta man arrested after hiring private eye to shoot pics of city woman

An Alberta man was arrested by police after a private investigator told the cops he was hired to take inappropriate photos of a Cornwall woman.

Cornwall police said the 24-year-old Calgary man hired an investigator earlier this year to snap photos of the city woman.

Shahzaib Merwat, 24 was arrested in Calgary on Oct. 6 on the strength of an outstanding warrant. He was charged with counselling to commit voyeurism and held in custody until court Tuesday.

The private eye was allegedly hired in June. Police said there was no relationship between the suspect and the Cornwall woman.
