Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off has a pair of fundraisers that will give you shivers and make you laugh.

The first is the Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off Hallowe’en Masquerade Party. Ghosts and goblins will be out in force the evening of Friday, Oct. 26 at the Spot Light Hall and Conference Centre on Cornwall Centre Road as Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off plays host to a great night of fun, costumes, prizes and more.

Some great music will be provided by Busker’s Dream. The party runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. and includes a late lunch.

"This event is a great time," says Brian Mulligan, fundraising director for Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off. “Every year the crowd gets bigger and the costumes more original."

Tickets for the party can be purchased for $20.00 at Making Waves, 722 Pitt Street.

The fun continues as the popular Yuk Yuk’s comedy tour rolls into Cornwall to benefit Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off.

Yuk Yuk’s comedians will perform at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Nov. 9 as Lift-Off organizers play host to a fun night full of laughter and good times. Yuk Yuk’s “On Tour” is bringing its hilarious brand of comedy to Cornwall and they want audience members to enjoy the shenanigans on stage, as well as delicious wings with fries and a Chinese auction.

"Don't be disappointed ," says Kinsmen Lift-Off co-chair Mary Marleau. “Last year we were almost full and this year will be a sell-out. So get your tickets now. Do not wait and be disappointed."

Doors open at 6 p.m.,  and dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. The comedy begins at 8 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the Cornwall Square administration office for $35.00 – cash only.
