A couple of Long Sault schools were locked down after police received complaints about a suspicious person. They were then opened to allow students to go home.

Longue Sault Public School and St. George Catholic School had their doors locked up at about 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, following the OPP report.

No one has been injured and the OPP say they are simply taking precautions.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the SD&G OPP detachment at 613-534-2223.

The schools were locked down in September after a student reported seeing two men with guns nearby. No arrests were made in that incident.
