Some secondary school students in Cornwall and area who planned a Monday walkout to protest job action by their teachers have placed themselves in a holding pattern.

Thanks to bus cancellations and some downright terrible Monday weather, the students have postponed their protests until Tuesday afternoon.

The students are angry that teachers have shelved supervision of extra-curricular activities in many schools for their own protests against Bill 115 - a controversial piece of legislation that teacher unions claim in undemocratic.

Students at St. Lawrence Secondary School and Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School will walk out of classes Tuesday afternoon. Other protests are planned at several high schools in the Cornwall area as well.

Check back later for more.
