A new call centre is setting up shop in Cornwall.
Atelka, a Montreal-based firm, is opening a call centre in the city that will eventually employ more than 300 people.
“Atelka is expanding rapidly and we are continuously looking to build on our qualified and bilingual workforce," said Georges Karam, Atelka CEO. "This is why we chose Cornwall.”
Atelka is hosting a pair of job fairs in the city, Feb. 6 and 13 from 5 to 9 p.m. both nights, at the civic complex.
Atelka was founded in 2003 by a pair of Montreal entrepreneurs.
The firm is ranked seventh fastest growing company in Quebec by Les Affaires, and Atelka is also the largest independent call centre company in Canada employing over 2,000 people across seven sites in Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and PEI.
