CORNWALL, Ontario - Local New Democrats will decide later this month who will be out stumping for them during the next provinicla election.

Local NDP riding association president Brian Lynch said the provincial riding association will be holding its nomination meeting March 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the Navy Veterans Association in Cornwall.

“We want to be ready when the election comes and help bring change that puts people first," said Lynch. “We are working to create and protect good jobs, improve public health care and education, and make life affordable.  In addition, the NDP wants to make the Liberal government accountable for its actions and to ensure a balanced approach to balancing the provincial budget which looks at both revenue and spending,” stated Lynch.

Prospective candidates for the nomination must submit their necessary paperwork to the Ontario NDP office by March 17.

Lynch also indicated that the annual general meetings of the SDSG provincial and federal NDP riding associations will take place in conjunction with the provincial nomination meeting on March 27.
