Cornwall woman $100k richer after lottery win

CORNWALL, Ontario - She's 100,000 reason to get up with a smile this morning.

Cornwall resident Reshma Yasmin only plays Encore once in awhile, so when she bought her Lotto 6/49 ticket for the Feb. 23 draw, she decided to take a chance on Encore.

Good thing she did, because her numbers came up and she won a top prize of $100,000.

“I only play once in awhile, and I’m really glad I purchased Encore this time,” said Yasmin, a 43-year old warehouse employee. “I was crying when I discovered how much I had won!”

Encore can be played in conjunction with most online lottery games for an extra $1.

Yasmin, a married mother of three, plans to take a vacation and purchase a new vehicle with her windfall.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shoppers Drug Mart on Water Street in Cornwall.
