No foul play suspected in case of skeletal remains: cops

CORNWALL, Ontario - City police say the skeletal remains found in an east-end Cornwall home belong to an elderly man who passed away months before the grisly discovery.

Police said Friday a forensic exmination has determined the man succumbed to natural causes, and his death is not the result of foul play.

In early January police were caled to a home on Alice Street where the skeleton was found by fire and bylaw officials who were investigating the home to determine if it should be condemned.

Police added they have closed the investigation into this matter.
