CORNWALL, Ontario - The Canada Border Services Agency is warning travellers to get ready for some lengthy wait at the Cornwall border crossing this weekend.
The federal border protection agency said wait times at the Cornwall port of entry could exceed an hour, depending on the timeof day and traffic levels.
The peak traffic volumes in Cornwall are anticipated to be between 10 a.m. and midnight on Friday, between 12 p.m. and midnight on Saturday, between 2 p.m. and midnight on Sunday, and between 10 a.m. and midnight on Monday when border wait times may exceed 60 minutes.
Travellers can also help speed up processing by ensuring that they have proper identification for everyone in their vehicle readily available upon arrival at the primary inspection booth and they have receipts for purchases in hand.
