CORNWALL, Ontario – A local man has taken crime to a new cliché level.
A Cornwall man broke a cardinal rule when he allegedly stole two pairs of ice skates. Don't mess with a Canadian's winter equipment. Ever. Especially on 9/11.
31-year-old Thomas Quinn faces a charge of break and enter after allegedly stealing two pairs of ice skates. The incident took place on Sept. 11.
According to police, the alleged skate stealer entered into an unlocked garage, at a Twelfth Street address, and removed two pairs of ice skates. The man found himself on thin ice when police showed up at his door during their investigation.
He was transported to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
