CORNWALL, Ontario - The City of Cornwall’s Infrastructure and Municipal Works Division will be holding an information session on Wednesday, Oct. 9 to provide an update on the actions stemming from the September 2010 and July 2013 flooding events in the city.
The information session will be held in Salon B of the Cornwall Civic Complex and all residents are welcome to attend. It will begin at 7 pm with a presentation by city staff, followed by a period for questions and discussion.
The staff presentation will provide a brief review of the 2010 and 2013 flooding events, an overview of the City’s sewer networks, preliminary findings of flooding causes and actions being planned and undertaken.
“This matter is a priority for the infrastructure and municipal works,” said John St. Marseille, general manager, infrastructure and municipal works. “I would encourage all residents who have been affected by the 2010 and 2013 flooding events to attend the session and learn about the actions that are being carried out and planned for Council’s consideration.”
