CORNWALL, Ontario -It looks like a Cornwall family in desperate need of a new home will have to wait a little bit longer before moving in.
Thieves made off with between $3,000 and $5,000 worth of tools from the Habitat for Humanity build project taking place on Maple Avenue in Cornwall.
Habitat officials said the theft will create a delay in completing the project, so the Durocher family will likely have to wait until after Christmas before moving in.
Cornwall police are investigating the theft from a trailer on the property.
Items taken are a generator, compressor and various other tools. The Cornwall Community Police is asking if anyone has any information about this crime to contact police headquarters or Crime Stoppers.
If you have any information on the theft, contact police at 613-933-5000.
