CORNWALL, Ontario - A Cornwall man is facing charges for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl multiple times.

A Cornwall man facing multiple charges for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old teen girl, allegedly threatened police with a hockey stick during the arrest.

David Rafter, 22, was arrested on Dec. 13 at his residence for allegedly being intimate with a 14-year-old girl on four separate occasions between Oct. and Dec.

When police attempted to address the allegations prior to his arrest, Rafter threatened them with a hockey stick.

He was transported to police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

Rafter is facing four counts of sexual assault and sexual interference, in addition to invitation to sexual touching, three counts of breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and assaulting a police officer.
