Lights at this Brookdale Avenue intersection are finally operating.
CORNWALL, Ontario - Access to the new low-level bridge in Cornwall is getting closer, as traffic lights at the bottom end of Brookdale Avenue were turned on overnight Tuesday.
Motorists heading to work Wednesday morning found the intersection at Brookdale Avenue and Water Street controlled by the new lights which have sat dark for weeks.
The Federal Bridge Corporation is expected to release an update today on the status of the bridge opening, which has been delayed weeks while work continues on a temporary Canada Border Services Agency port of entry.
More to come.
