CORNWALL, Ontario - Cornwall fire chief Rick McCullough is at the scene of a terrible fire in Cornwall that has gutted a duplex.

McCullough told Seaway News damage to the home is significant.

"For that one unit it's pretty extensive," he said, before heading down to Louisa Street where the blaze broke out Tuesday night at around 6:30 p.m.

McCullough could not attach a dollar figure to the damage.

No one was hurt or killed in the fire.

The home, located at the Prince Albert intersection, was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

An investigator is combing through the wreckage today.
