Cornwall Police blotter update.

CORNWALL, Ontario - A couple of alleged B&E artists have been nabbed by police for lifting cash from a Cornwall gas station and the Beer Store.

Cornwall police said a gas station at Second and York streets in Cornwall was broken into Nov. 30 and a quantity of cash was taken. The same thing happened to a Sydney Street Beer Store Dec. 18.

A police investigation ensued and cops executed a search warrant at a Bedford Street home.

Michael Williams, 42 and Magdalena Williams, 32 both of Cornwall were arrested Jan. 23. Michael Williams faces two counts of break and enter while Magdalena Williams was charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime. A third person is also being sought by police in relation to both break and enters.

Michael Williams was held for a bail hearing and Magdalena Williams was released to appear in court at a later date.
