Father allegedly sexually assaults his two teenage daughters

CORNWALL, Ontario - A city man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting his 17-year-old daughter and his 14-year-old daughter.

Cornwall Police blotter update.

The 38-year-old Cornwall man was questioned at police headquarters during an investigation by city cops on February 13. He was then charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference.

According to police the man sexually assaulted his two teenage daughters between February, 2013 and the summer of 2013.

He was held for a bail hearing. No names were released to protect the victims.

Armed robbery suspect arrested

Cornwall police nabbed a city man in connection with a string of armed robberies in the local area.

Three city businesses were held up by an alleged armed robber claiming to have a gun and demanding cash on February 8, 9, and 10. But according to police no weapon was ever seen by the store clerks.

Cornwall police's criminal investigation department located their suspect on February 13.

Landon Laplante, 27, was charged with three counts of robbery with a weapon. He was held for a bail hearing.
