CORNWALL, Ontario - Dozens of residents are expected to gather at the site of a controversial chemical tank project early Thursday morning to protest the construction.
Todd Bennett, the organizer of the protest, said in an interview the objective is to show the displeasure rank-and-file members of the community feel as a result of the project.
"We want to hand out information, like e-mail addresses and contact information for members of the government and Transport Canada," said Bennett, a city council candidate.
The protest is expected to run from 7 to 8 a.m.
Bennett said protesters are expected to block the entrance to the work site for the duration of the protest.
He added Cornwall police ar being advised of the gathering.
