Two busted, drugs seized by Cornwall cops

Cornwall Police blotter update.

CORNWALL, Ontario - Cornwall police executed a drug search warrant and busted a pair of would-be traffickers.

A man and a woman were both taken into custody from a Walton Street residence Monday by the Cornwall Street Crime Unit. the pair were later released to appear in court in April.

They face a slew of charges and a vehicle belonging to them was seized.

Norman Travers, 24 and Carole-Anne Berniquez, 23 both of Cornwall were arrested.

Travers is charged with:

- Possession of Fentanyl

- Possession for the purpose of trafficking Fentanyl

- Possession of Marijuana

- Possession of Oxycodone

- Possession of Buprenorphine

- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Carole-Anne Berniquez is charged with:

- Possession of Fentanyl

- Possession of Marijuana

- Possession of Oxycodone

- Possession of Buprenorphine

The street value of the drugs seized is about $3,000.
