Transport flips, closes 401 near Lancaster

CORNWALL, Ontario - Police were at the scene of a flipped over transport on Highway 401 east of Lancaster on the weekend.

OPP said the tractor-trailer went out of control and jack-knifed in the eastbound lane between Lancaster and Curry Hill on Saturday.

The 54-year-old, a native of Saint-Amable, Que., was seriously injured and transported to the Cornwall Community Hospital.

The highway was closed for a time between Lancaster and Curry Hill.
