CORNWALL, Ontario – SD and G OPP have ruled out foul play in the death of a Valleyfiled, Que. man who was struck and killed by a Via Rail train Monday.
The incident occurred at about 4 p.m. near Bainsville when the 20-year-old was hit by the train.
The accident occurred near Fifth Line Road which had to be closed to traffic while police completed their investigation.
The train that struck the man was stopped on the track and Via officials made arrangements to transport passengers by bus.
The train was travelling east.
