Orders from city hall were posted at the chemical tank work site on the Cornwall waterfront.
CORNWALL, Ontario - The company building chemical tanks on Cornwall's waterfront has agreed to a truce, of sorts, with city hall.
Trillium Distribution has advised city hall of its intention to adjourn its court application against Cornwall's interim control bylaw for a period of one month.
The city consented to the adjournment.
The application was originally scheduled to be considered by the Superior Court of Ontario on March 21.
City CAO Norm Levac told Seaway News the date change has to do with scheduling, for the most part.
"That date is creeping up on us, and there is a lot of preparation that needs to take place," he said.
But he did add officials from both parties continue to hold discussions in an attempt to achieve resolution on the use of lands in the harbour area of Cornwall.
