Pedestrians attempt to navigate a snowbound downtown Cornwall.
CORNWALL, Ontario - So far so good say area police, as Cornwall braces itself for a late winter storm that has begun dumping 25 cm of snow.
Cornwall police Const. Dan Cloutier said early Wednesday afternoon there have been no major traffic disruptions as a result of the storm, but the worst of the snowfall is yet to come.
The OPP likewise tweeted that there have been no accidents in the east region as a result of the storm.
That being said, police are urging motorists to remain at home or otherwise stay off the roads unless travel is absolutely necessary.
The snow is expected to last overnight and turn to flurries by tomorrow.
More to come.
