CORNWALL, Ontario - A Cornwall couple who received a winning lotto ticket as a Christmas gift returned the favour when it was revealed they won $100,000.

Julie Brisbois (left), Richard Brisebois, Marc Burelle, and Lisa Burelle won a total of $100,000 from a $1 Encore ticket.

A group of four from Cornwall and Bainsville are the latest winners of the Lotto 6/49 draw.

Richard and Julie Brisebois won $100,000 on the December 25, 2013 Encore draw on a ticket they were given as a gift from Marc and Lisa Burelle of Bainsville.

“Marc and Lisa bought the ticket for us as a gift,” said Richard, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim their prize. “When we realized it was a winner, we decided to share it with them.”

The Burelles were floored by the extreme act of generosity.

“This win is so unreal! We’re still in shock,” shared Julie.

“It’s the best dollar we ever spent!” added Marc.

The lucky foursome plans on paying off some bills and taking a trip to celebrate their win.

The winning ticket was purchased at Esso on County Road 2 in South Lancaster.
